For those who don't know what a Duck House is, it's Derby Rowing Club, south end of Darley Park.
Bar open and room booked for your post-ride amusement 3-6pm.

Is this an all inclusive? i.e. will this be okay for Max, pace wise? He did last year's 100k but this has a few more hills? He's asked me if he can do it so thought i'd ask just to make sure? Thanks

Well last years was to easy for Young Max he smashed it. So a year older he needs a new challenge. ;)
Its not that hilly and we have all day. :)

Excellent he's happy about that and last years was a great ride out. The ascents are his achilles heel, particularly loooong drags, but i'll not show him the profile.

My overriding memory from last year was the climb up Beacon Hill where the little man (that's Max not me!!) was really fading and struggling at that point, as we descended however all the Merc members we were riding with were all waiting in the layby and i could see the colour come back into his cheeks and the energy back into his legs and that was it he never looked back.
And his reward :cheer:

Also great team spirit from the other juniors in the group that pushed him up the hill after Beacon - really sums up the club and go-ride ethos.

Nigel - Is your route clockwise or anticlock ? Strava doesn't tell me.
Lola won't make 100k, I was going to plot a 50k version, heading out together, shortcut the loop and meet again at the club.

Lola will be fine, young Max can lead her out ;)
The first control is Barton then across to Sudbury before returning to Derby via Marston Montgomery.
Its not a race we have all day to finish it.
You could follow the route to Hilton then join the cycle path across to Hatton, cafe at Sudbury then head back up Church Broughton.
